94 names on list of local candidates. The campaign has begun. The nimination period for the Nov. 15th civic has ended in the tri-cities - Coquitlam, Poco and Port Moody. 94 candidates are running for spots as Mayor, councilor or School trustee. In coquitlam there are three candidates for mayor: Lou Sekora, Richard Steward and Mark Mahovlich. 5 Strong candidates are going out knocking on doors with local volunteers out of sheer drive to get people interested in voting, Ive volunteered with them and will do so again this week. I can say from personal experience that these are trustworthy, honest and responsible candidates who deserve a shot at protecting coquitlam. They are: Shobha Nair, Jack Trumley, Chris Wilson, Bonita Zarrillo and Neal Nicholson. Dont forget to vote on November 15th! If we dont see you out there, well be knocking on doors and harrassing you on the phone, so if you want to avoid that call, get out to the voting stations and you wont hear from us again :)
