#983 I have been dating my bf for about 7 months now. Everything has really been great, there hasnt been any huge issues, and we really love each other. He has a 9 year old daughter though, and now we seem to be having issues with her. She likes me, and even before we started dating, she liked me. Ive always been very sensitive to the fact that he is a single father, and the girl has no contact with her mother since she was a toddler (her mom ran away). I completely understand that she always needs to come first, and I have been there to help and support her when and however I can. I dont try to discipline her or be her mom, just a friend who can help and listen to her problems. I help her with school when I can. She also has confidence issues, and I have tried to help her with it by teaching her how to take care of her hair better, bought her new clothes, ect. Small things to let her know I care about her, because I truly do. Lately though shes been acting out, and not just towards me. She is very very jealous, even towards her friends. She also throws temper tantrums when playing games, ect. if she is not first, or not getting her way, and often when we are together, or even around other people, she is constantly complaining and trying to grab for attention. She acts more like a 4 year old than almost being 10. She is VERY manipulative towards her dad, and I can see it very clearly. She will fake cry to get her way constantly. I really do love my bf and his daughter, but this is starting to drive me crazy! I know I have done nothing wrong, I have no guilt for any actions that could perpetuate anything like this. I just dont know what to do!!! Im really frustrated :( Anyone else in or have been in a similar situation?
