**9am Conundrum** Ben is in a relationship with Carla (AS). There is a film that Carla would like to see so Ben invites her to go with him. He suggests they go on Sunday morning. When Sunday comes, Carla tells Ben that she is feeling too overwhelmed to do anything today but she encourages him to *go and see the film on his own* since they know it is on at 10:00 today. The next day, Monday, Ben is at work and Carla has a day off. Carla goes to see the film on her own. When Ben finds out, he feels disappointed, rejected and inadequate but Carla doesnt understand why. She actually wonders why she should have told him at all, if he was going to react negatively to her honesty and straightforwardness. 1.
