A 3 to 5 cents a gallon hike of the gas tax... (prices are lower - TopicsExpress

A 3 to 5 cents a gallon hike of the gas tax... (prices are lower on gas then they have ever been) would fund roads, bridges and more... Of course, we could make oil companies pay their taxes... Incidentally, according to John Maynard Keynes... the job of government is to be able to have money to spend on these projects and stimulate the economy. rebuilding and keeping up is part of what government is charged with doing... Id like to see Oil companies taxed a few cents per gallon they pump out of the ground, (they can afford it) Ideas, like that or even the Robin Hood Tax, a hundredth of a cent per stock transaction would put trillions back into the coffers of the U.S. treasury... Where does all the money go! President Obama has said that these projects needed to be done since he was elected, but no one has wanted to listen... There is however, always money for foreign wars and 30 Billion dollar new jet projects.though!
