A 30 yearThrowback Thursday -- 1984 -- Shreveport. My partner Charles Edison Chapmans patron saint (as he called her) was the divine Greta Garbo. For many years Charles would stage an elaborate dinner party in honor of the reclusive movie star on her birthday. Only a handful of our friends would be invited each year, and it was a very special occasion indeed. This series of five photos were taken in our studio we had next door to our apartment on the 12th floor of the Fountain Towers -- a mid-century modern building which was, interestingly, round. Yep, just like Geodesica, but on a huge scale!
