A BIBLICAL QUERY THAT PASTOR OSIBAJO; THE RUNNING MATE TO GEN. BUHARI MUST NEED ANSWER The 2015 Elections is already here with us. Therefore every Nigerian must call his/her senses and emotions to a balanced position as to create room for making a right choice. Humanity is basically a religious being in nature. And the human nature though very complex, yet it can be understood along two major dimensions - emotions and intellect. Whenever man is tilted to being sentimental, he becomes intellectually imbalanced. Whereas, when tilted to intellectualism he beings mechanically imprisoned. However when the two strikes a balance it gives freedom to its possessors. In this biblical query, I am addressing it principally to my Christian brother, Pastor Yemi Osibajo, a one-time Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. My action is based on our Commonwealth which is in Christ Jesus, the Lord. “History is the witness of time”, according to Cicero, father of history, “the torch of truth, the life of memory, the teacher of life and the messenger of antiquity.” Furthermore, in stressing the place of vital information, John H. Y. Briggs, Professor of History, University of Keele, Staffordshire, England, wrote: “Many centuries earlier, the Roman writer, Cicero, said that not to know what took place before you were born was to remain forever a child”. Since Toynbee said: “The fate of civilization rests with the strength of the religion of its people”; I would gladly allow one Aliyu Gwarzo’s SCRIPT: IT IS EITHER THE KORAN OR THE SWORD” to be fully played out. Thus: “When I say that the Presidency must come to the north next year I am referring to the Hausa-Fulani core north and not any northern Christian or Muslim minority tribe. “The Christians in the north such as the Berom, the Tiv, the Kataf, the Jaba, the Zuru, the Sayyawa, the Bachama, the Jukun, the Idoma and all the others are nothing and the Muslim minorities in the north, including the Kanuri, the Nupe, the Igbira, the Babur, the Shuwa Arabs, the Marghur and all the others know that when we are talking about leadership in the north and in Nigeria, Allah has given it to us, the Hausa-Fulani. “They can grumble, moan and groan as much as they want but each time they go into their bedrooms to meet their wives and each time they get on their prayer mats to begin their prayers, it is we the Fulani that they think of, that they fear, that they bow to and that they pray for. “Some of them are even ready to give us their wives and daughters for one nights sport and pleasure. They owe us everything. This is because we gave them Islam through the great Jihad waged by Sheik Usman Dan Fodio. “We also captured Ilorin, killed their local King and installed our Fulani Emir. We took that ancient town away from the barbarian Yoruba and their filthy pagan gods. We liberated all these places and all these people by imposing Islam on them by force. “It was either the Koran or the sword and most of them chose the Koran. In return for the good works of our forefathers Allah, through the British, gave us Nigeria to rule and to do with as we please. Since 1960 we have been doing that and we intend to continue. “No Goodluck or anyone else will stop us from taking back our power next year. We will kill, maim, destroy and turn this country into Africas biggest war zone and refugee camp if they try it. “Many say we are behind Boko Haram. My answer is what do you expect? We do not have economic power or intellectual power. All we have is political power and they want to take even that from us. “We must fight and we will fight back in order to keep it. They have brought in the infidels from America and the pigs from Israel to help them but they will fail. The war has just begun, the Mujahadeen are more than ready and by Allah we shall win. “If they dont want an ISIS in Nigeria then they must give us back the Presidency and our political power. Their soldiers are killing our warriors and our people every day but mark this: even if it takes one hundred years we will have our revenge. “Every Fulani man that they kill is a debt that will be repaid even if it takes 100 years. The Fulani have very long memories.”- ALIYU GWARZO This full text was sent into my WhatsApp around October 2014. Dear Pastor Osibajo, perhaps you might have read this text before now in you internet or not. Do you observe how Gwarzo’s script was in fact so dramatized in the APC’s Primaries? Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, a national figure , who worked so hard and so self-confident of pulling more votes in the APC’s Primaries, was forced to understand the Islamic agenda. Yes, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as a Fulani –Hausa core Muslim scored 3430 votes. In the same vein, Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State (a local champion) but a Fulani-Hausa core Muslim scored 974 votes. But wonders would never end! Hence, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar though a national figure but a minority Muslim could only score 954 votes. Pastor Osibajo, how do you reconcile that in the light of Gwarzo’s script? Sir, may you reconcile these statements made by Gen. Buhari: “If PDP is given another years to rule this country, Nigeria will go down the drain in 2015”. And it was further explained by Noah Ebue, a journalist, to mean that “Nigeria would be washed away as a country if the ruling party is given four more years in office in the 2015 general elections” (Sunday Sun October 19, 2014, page 7). Gwarzo: “No Goodluck or anyone will stop us from taking back our power next year (2015). We will kill, maim, destroy and turn this country into the Africa’s biggest war zone and refugee camp if they try it.” Pastor Osibajo, as a Professor of Law of high standing, can you interpret to my own understanding when your presidential candidate, Gen. Buhari in 2001 at the Islamic Seminar in Kaduna organized by the Broad Voice for the Islamization of Nigeria, publicly declared: “I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria… God willing we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia Law in the country”. Furthermore, Gen. Buhari as a member of the Broad Voice said that the spread of Sharia “is a legal responsibility which God has given us, within the context of one Nigeria to continue to uphold the practice of Sharia wholeheartedly and to educate non-Muslims in Nigeria is for them to redouble their efforts, educate Muslims on the need to promote the full implementation of Sharia Law” (culled from Ojewolu a political analyst, Abuja). May I help you to graphically plot the situation more accurately? Gwarzo as being in the highest rung of Islam (Jihad) he is using his pen to fight. The Boko Haram, the fundamentalists and the Jihadists are using the AK-47 to bring to pass the dream, and above all Gen. Buhari as a moderate Muslim is seeking for a political tool and intrigues to actualize it, as explicitly stated in his words. Do you still see a united Nigeria that will continue to enjoy a level playing ground for all, on its platform of being a secular state? From the looks of things, is the so-called political course you are pursuing not a wicked agenda that has no future for this great country called Nigeria? If the contemporary Fulani Muslims are boasting of how the Yoruba of Ilorin were overwhelmingly conquered under the Jihad sword, so shall the tomorrow Fulani Muslims likely boast of how they won back “their political power and seat” through the submission of a Christian Learned Yoruba Gentleman. Rethink. If indeed you are a man of God as you claimed, you ought to have rightly understood the tenets of our Christian Constitution, the Holy Bible, as your superior does to his, even the Koran. Do you remember that the Author and Bastion of Christianity, the Lord Jesus Christ, says: “The Scripture cannot be broken” (John 10:35) “but the Scriptures must be fulfilled”? (Mark 14:49). Why do you want to break Amos 3:3 which states: “Can two walk together except they be agreed?” As Pastor Tunde Bakare, who once claimed to be approved by the Christian God to be a running mate in 2011, as you are now doing to the same, Gen. Buhari, but was forced to swallow back his words, at the end of that futile exercise: do you therefore think that God has changed His mind?. Scripture history tells us that though Jehoshaphat was God’s honoured and Holy King, yet when he silly compromised his association in business with the wicked King of Israel, Ahaziah, God sent a prophet who went and rebuked him and caused that business venture to be abortive. Scripture tells the story thus: “But at the close of his life, Jehoshaphat, King of Judah, went into partnership with Ahaziah, King of Israel who was a very wicked man. They made ships in Ezion-geber to sail to Tarshish, then Eliezer, son of Dodavahu from Mareshah, prophesied against Jehoshaphat, telling him, ‘Because you have allied yourself with King Ahaziah, the Lord has destroyed your work’. So the ships met disaster and never arrived at Tarshish” (2 Chron 20:35-37, Living Bible).
