A BIG DIASPPOINTMENT!!! At Suhot Cave and Spring Resort, Friday, 5 Nov. 2014, while busy doing the draft FLUP write ups and improving map presentations, we chanced upon five Acronyms and Abbreviations on certain agreements which we wanted to be spelled out for clarity of information. (If only it was a forestry matter I could have readily done myself) I advised my team to wait for a while for me to ask a friend who is an authority on the matter to provide the needed info: November 5 2:50 pm, I called his cell phone and we talked for 1m,19s: He was on travel and on board a vehicle, I told him that I need definitions of some acronyms of certain agreements. We agreed that to simplify I will just text what I needed so that he can respond correctly. 2:58 pm, I texted 5 acronyms with the 5th already spelled out just for confirmation. 5:46 pm. No response received. I re-sent my text November 6 4:43 pm. I waited long enough and decided to follow up the texts I sent 26 hours ago. I asked why he has not texted the info I needed 5:20 pm. Response: may gin txt ako khapon pa. November 7 12:16 pm. Finally, we have to leave our venue. Before we rode our rented van, I advised him that I received no text messages from him, reason why I sent out two same messages. 12:30 pm.Response: ang staff trying2 get n touch cmo 2 giv wat u wer askng..am out of town Update: The staff has not gotten in touch as of today! (I decided not to input the acronyms here to hide the identity of the respondent.) Questions: 1. If there was an earlier text sent why not re-send? 2. Can we not define a 3 or 4 letter Acronym if we are out of town? 3. Does it need a careful study to release the info that it must be done in the Office when even a man on the street who must have regularly encountered the acronym can recite it impromptu? .
