A Big Thank You to those who gave a donation to help the rescue get dog food. We are still very short. Our building is almost empty. Gregg and I already spend a ton of money out of our own pocket to help these animals. We have for years now. We have sacrificed everything to help these 4 legged animals from being euthanized. I have been asked from thousands of people over the years to help them with their dogs, to take in dogs they have found, to take in their dogs as they could no longer keep them, to please go to this pound or that pound and save animals. I have been asked to go trap dogs people have seen left at lakes, in back yards, running the streets, I have been asked for advice on medical issues for pets and saved people tons of money and kept you from having to have a huge vet bill, I have given tons and tons of people medicine for their animals. I have told so many short cuts to help save people money, I have given shots at no cost, I have paid to get peoples animals fixed who could not afford to do so, I have given out dog food to those in need, cat food and litter to those in need. I always help when asked. Not always have I been able to take every dog but if I have room I never say no. I usually get the dogs other rescues turn away, the ones with broken legs, eyes that are hanging out, hard to place black dogs, dogs that have been run over by cars, dogs with missing limbs, dogs that are in such bad shape it takes me months and months to make them whole again, blind dogs. I do not just take in the ones I know I can turn around and adopt out the next day. Many times I take special needs and we have donated many dogs to special homes and police forces over the years. We are now in need of donations so we can get dog food. Winter will be coming upon us fast and our building needs to be stocked up in order to start into the cold months. We cannot do it without donations. I do not want to close the doors to this rescue! We work endless tireless hours helping these who deserve better but I will be forced to close the doors if we cannot get more help. Animals are suffering and dying daily and I cannot agree to help them without food here to feed them. This week will determine if we stay open or if we close.
