A Bushfire Watch and Act remains in place for people in parts of Bullsbrook and surrounding areas in the City of Swan, City of Wanneroo and the Shire of Chittering. A Watch and Act remains for people in an area bounded by Wanneroo Road, Old Yanchep Road, Tomar Road, McKinley Road, Brand Highway, Muchea Sth Road, Railway Parade, Stock West Road, Cooper Road, Neaves Road, Old Yanchep Road and Flynn Drive in the City of Wanneroo, Shire of Chittering and City of Swan. • There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is in the area and conditions are changing. • You need to leave or get ready to actively defend. • The fire started between Railway Road and Gully Road. COMMUNITY MEETING: A community meeting has been scheduled for 10am today, Monday 12 January, at the Gumblossom Community Centre on Tapping Way in Quinns Rock. ROAD CLOSURES: Avoid the area and be aware of fire and other emergency services personnel working on site A number of roads have been closed including: • Neaves Road between Old Yanchep Road and Railway Parade • Railway Parade between Rutland Road and Warbrook Road • Nowergup Road • Karoborup Road • Wanneroo Road between Old Yanchep Road and Hester Avenue • Flynn Drive closed at Old Yanchep Road. Partial road closure at Wanneroo Road with access to local traffic only through the Flynn Drive control point.
