A CHRONICLE OF MY VENICE JOURNEY: PUNCH before you are - TopicsExpress

A CHRONICLE OF MY VENICE JOURNEY: PUNCH before you are PUNCHED It was originally planned to be a Rome-Venice-Milan, then changed to a Rome-Venice-Zurich-Paris. The final itinerary has changed to Rome-Venice-Paris-Rome. For one, I took a combination of land and air routes rather than an-all-fast train means of transportation for a more experience. Second, I need to reserve my energy for I still have my UAE waiting for me. So change if you must, if it will be the most reasonable! After all, that is life – full of changes CITY PASS In taking the trains or buses, don’t forget to punch your ticket to avoid paying a penalty of 53euro. When I arrived in Venice, I bought a 30euro pass for a 2-day ride to a public water transport. Unintentionally, I forgot to punch. Just on the last stop the inspectors arrived. I was fined. She understood, but she apologizes because it will set a precedence to others. There were 2 more tourists who were fined too on that same trip. You may be excited to look around, but before you CLICK the camera, PUNCH! NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS FREE I have been refusing any offer for help because of fear that I might get robbed again. Unfortunately, when I need to cross a bridge that goes up and down, I felt my shoulders are going to give up for my baggage. Just when I reached a few steps up, a guy offered for a help. I refused. He insisted and assuring me that it is no problem, “just happy to help”. When I reached the middle of the bridge, I realized that it is a nice place to take a photo of the surrounding. I told him that I will just stay there and that I thank him for the help. He asked for 5euro. Me: What? Are you kidding me? You promised that it is for free. It is not even 10meters away. I’ll give you this 3euro as a punishment to myself for allowing it to be fooled by you. Accept it or I will call a police. Be it a lady or a man, better “serve your own self”. As much as possible, travel light. REGARDLESS OF THE WEIGHT Better check with your airline on their baggage policy. In most cases however, they only allow 1 hand-carry baggage within a prescribed size. If you have one more, you need to pay 35euro. Regardless of the weight, for as long as it fits the prescribed size. ALHAMDULILLAH for giving me a different experience of Italy this time!
