A COUPLE OF KITCHEN TIPS: FOR BURNED RICE: If you burn rice, dont throw it out. Just place a piece of bread on top for 5-10 minutes and it will absorb the burned taste. Spoon the rice into a different bowl or pan. Take care not to scrape the bottom burned parts into the rest of the rice or it will taste and look burned. TO FRESHEN UP STALE BREAD: If your loaf of bread is starting to go stale, just put a piece of fresh celery in the bag and close it back up. This tends to restore a fresh taste and texture to the bread. This works very well with typical store bought bread and somewhat decent with homemade bread.
