A Challenge for my agnostic and atheistic friends: The ALS Challenge that has gone viral has gotten me thinking about other challenges. No, this one does not involve any buckets of ice water. This challenge is primarily directed towards my agnostic and atheistic friends who have the slightest hint of thought that there might be a god of some sorts. It can also be done by believers that have their own doubts about whether there is a God. First the Donts Dont look to the Christians as part of this challenge. While there are many good people who call themselves Christian, none of us are perfect; And yes, there are way too many judgers, haters and hypocrites who bear that name. Dont look to your circle of friends who might say That is silly. This is a personal challenge for you. Dont disqualify yourself. Dont start with a negative of If there is a god, he wouldnt listen to me. Dont expect a miracle. Dont try to bargain. Here is the challenge: In a private place where you can be alone with your thoughts, ask God to reveal himself. Just say something like the following: Hello God. I dont believe in you. But I am willing to see if you are there. I ask that you help me see that you are there. Thank you. Then go about your normal life. But look for the answer. And be ready to be surprised.
