A Chesapeake Celebration - love, life, and good food To celebrate my friend Melissas recent engagement, I wanted to prepare a tasty lunch featuring the bounty from the Chesapeake Bay region. Blue crabs are in season and incredibly fresh, so I decided on a crabcake salad. The farmers market yielded crisp bibb lettuce, sweet corn, and juicy ripe tomatoes from Marylands Eastern Shore that I lightly dressed with locally produced Tessemaes (@tessemaes) lemon garlic blend and accented with Eves Cheese Chesapeake Colby. Melissa brought a light and refreshing sangria from Cove Point Winery, located just a short distance from Cove Point Lighthouse -Marylands oldest operational lighthouse - and where her wedding will take place. It was a perfect compliment to celebrate love, life, and good food!
