A Freezing Frosty Night ahead for South-East Australia. #Melbourne #Hobart #Canberra #Adelaide #SA #VIC #TAS #NSW #ACT #VICWeather #SAWeather #NSWWeather #TASWeather #Thredbo #MtBuller #MtHotham #Perisher #Winter #Cold #Weather So we still have this HIGH which is now located over North-West Victoria and it is quite strong with a pressure reading of 1033hpa. AS with all HIGHs, this HIGH is leading to Clear and Calm conditions over much of South-East Australia, and with Cool Air still lingering thanks to a Cold Front towards the end of the Working Week. There is a direct impact from the HIGH over much of Victoria, South-West/Southern New South Wales and South-East South Australia, while the Ridge is extending into Central South Australia, Northern Tasmania and Central/North-West New South Wales. Heavy Frost is expected throughout Northern Victoria, while widespread Frost is on the cards for basically anywhere outside of Greater Melbourne in Victoria, and East of Adelaide/South of Sydney. Temperatures are expected to fairly similar to last night. Cities: • Adelaide 3ºc • Canberra -3ºc • Hobart 6ºc • Melbourne 5ºc Snowy Mountains: • Cabramurra -5ºc • Charlotte Pass -6ºc • Falls Creek -5ºc • Mount Buller -5ºc • Mount Hotham -6ºc • Perisher -6ºc • Thredbo -7ºc Some Key Areas: Victoria: • Ballarat -1ºc • Bendigo 0ºc • Gelantipy 2ºc • Horsham -1ºc • Latrobe Valley 2ºc • Mildura 0ºc • Seymour 0ºc • Swan Hill 0ºc • Wangaratta -2ºc • Yarrawonga -1ºc Southern New South Wales: • Batemans Bay 0ºc • Bega 4ºc • Broken Hill 3ºc • Cooma -2ºc • Goulburn -3ºc • Griffith -1ºc • Ivanhoe 1ºc • Wagga Wagga -2ºc • Yass -2ºc • Young -4ºc Tasmania: • Devonport 4ºc • Fingal -2ºc • Lake St Clair 1ºc • Launceston -2ºc • Liawenee -1ºc • Mount Wellingto 0ºc • Scotts Peak 5ºc • Scottsdale 1ºc • Strahan 6ºc • Tunnack 2ºc South Australia: • Ceduna 5ºc • Clare 0ºc • Keith -1ºc • Lameroo -2ºc • Leigh Creek 4ºc • Naracoorte 0ºc • Parafield 4ºc • Port Augusta 2ºc • Renmark -2ºc • Roseworthy 1ºc • Roxby Downs 4ºc • Whyalla 2ºc The HIGH is expected to move towards Eastern Victoria tomorrow and then off the East Coast overnight, this will mean that tomorrow night, and for the remainder of the week as a Cold Front moves through, Overnight Minimums will be elevated compared to current Minimums. This is mainly due to the increase in Cloud Cover, but Maximums will be lower as well as a result of this. I went out to dinner and came home later than I planned. This post is probably 2-3 hours late from what I planned. Stay rugged up and enjoy the night!
