A French Soldier angered Napoleon and was thrown into a dungeon, where he seemed to be forsaken by his friends and forgotten by everyone else. In loneliness and despair he took a stone and scratched on the wall of his cell,"No-boby cares." One day a green shoot burst through the cracks in the stones on the floor of the dungeon and began to reach up toward the light in a tiny window at the top of the cell. The prisoner kept part of the water given to him and poured it on the solitary blade. It grew until at last it became a beautiful blue flower . As the petals opened in full blossom, the captive crossed out the words he had previously written and above the scratched, "God Cares."
