† A Friend Forever † Listen to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from before your birth, carried from the womb; even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save. Isaiah 46:3–4 ESV When I was called to the office and laid off, I was really let down. It had been a great place to work for years and I had planned to retire there, but it was not meant to be. God had other plans for me. In our lives things come and go. People, pets, careers, houses, cars, churches, pastors, friends, all can be here today and gone tomorrow. There is only one thing that is unchangeable, and that is The Lord and His love for you. If you build your life around God Almighty, who created the life within you, who sacrificed His only Son for your sins, you cannot go wrong. He will never leave you, from your childhood until you have fulfilled your days and your spirit returns back to Him. From your beginning to your end, He will be with you.
