A Friend of mine sent me this message today. (Unedited) So far in Oyo State, Governor Abiola Ajimobi has performed reasonably and creditably well....but theres still plenty of work to do, most of which he has started already. And because of the culture of abandoning projects of ones predecessors and most importantly if people must reward merit, he needs to go for a second term. Without sounding immodest, Ajimobis second term is in the best interest of Oyo state. His achievements are so glaring, he has turned the state to a huge construction site. He has replaced roadside trading with mordern markets, he has turned impassable single lane roads into smooth and wide dualized road. He has turned the entire state from being a violent and armed robbery headquarters into one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria. He has dealt ruthlessly with corruption and I take the Oyo state pension scam as a case study. He has ensured that unity exists among the traditional rulers and empowers the work force. He is however not a saint, he is only better by far than his predecessors and other contestants today. He is also a cover for most other non performing elected officials in the state. Everyone bears his name but are reluctant to establish theirs. Ajimobi deserves a comeback, I dont know about others. Do you agree with him?
