A Fundamental Responsibility Indian Administrative Service, Indian Forest Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Revenue Service, Indian Statistical Service are some of the services provided by the government for administration of different aspects. The officers coming out of such prestigious services have been selected based on academic qualifications, performance in the entrance test, interview, personality, conduct etc; they also undergo rigorous training in the respective areas. But politicians form a different breed - no requirements of eligibility, qualification, conduct, entrance test, interview etc. Analysis has shown that, as candidates, criminals have double the chance of winning an election than a clean person. These are the people who are ruling us. Except the IRS and ISS, officers from the other services come under the grip of the rogue state legislators as well. It is the executive that runs the country and not the politicians; that is why India has progressed to some extent in spite of the rulers. But the power lies with the corrupt rulers. Even the Supreme Court Ruling to cleanse the polity of criminality is challenged unanimously by the parliamentarians. When an ordinary citizen can be hanged for a brutal rape, why not the politician? Why do they need a separate set of laws to allow criminality? The entire country (from south to north and east to west) is currently witnessing the crimes and corruption committed by the rulers – thanks to the electronic media. Please do not write off India. We have to only stop the corrupt politicians becoming rulers. Each of us has the fundamental right to vote. Please do vote this time to the Party that projects a leader as Prime Minister Candidate (1) who is not corrupt (2) who has suppressed terrorism and established peace at least in a region (3) who is vibrant (4) who has modern outlook for development (5) who is fearless (6) who is not dynastic (7) who is a pure Indian breed etc. That is your fundamental responsibility.
