A GREAT MOMENT IN MUSIC for August 30, 2014 This is in keeping with my opinion that most movie scores can be classified as Classical Music. After all, when the question is asked, Where have all the Bachs, the Mozarts, the Beethovens, the Tchaikovskys gone? The answer of course is that they have gone to the movies. The best composers today are the composers of film scores. The Magnificent Seven Main Theme https://youtube/watch?v=yulmgTcGLZw Elmer Bernstein From the soundtrack, with scenes from the movie. This film is based on the Japanese classic, The Seven Samurai. Probably the most famous of all Western themes. All but one of these actors are gone now, except Robert Vaughn. Yul Brynner (1920-85), Steve McQueen (1930-80), Charles Bronson (1921-2003), Robert Vaughn (1932- ), Brad Dexter (1917-2002), James Coburn (1928-2002), Horst Buchholz (1933-2003), Eli Wallach (1915-2014). --
