** A Genuine Question: How can we organise mass protest? ** Here on the page, people constantly ask how we can organise mass protests. Its pretty easy sorting local protests, rallies and marches, but mass protest is a different issue. Its harder to get thousands of feet on the street than a few hundred, or so one would think. As one of our contributors pointed out in an earlier post today, even the Trade Union Movement have turned a blind eye to what is happening, and have deserted the workers (D. Fitzpatrick - thank you.), and he is correct. So heres my suggestion: You take your demands to those who claim to represent you, and you demand that THEY organise mass protest. Who am I speaking about? Simple! Remember that it is not just the government benches in Dail Eireann that rides on the Gravy Train. There was a massive vote for Sinn Fein and the Independents in the Local and European Elections this year. Fianna Fail are a waste of time because they are same as FG and Labour, but SF and Independents claim to have the Peoples interests at heart. Remember, so-called Opposition parties and TDs are earning the big bucks too, paid for by YOU, and YOU deserve to get a return from what you pay. Let us take Sinn Fein as an example: What have they done for the people of Ireland in recent years in Opposition? You could fit your answers on a postage stamp, but they still earn from our taxes. (ditto Independents and FF) IF AN OPPOSITION PARTY OR INDEPENDENT TD IS NOT OPPOSING THEN WHY ARE WE PAYING THEM? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We have already learned that our voices are not being heard. They are not as loud as the voices of Banks, Bondholders, Troikas, European Oppressors and Blackmailers. But that is wrong. We have bailed out private debt in banks and repaid losing bondholders what they were never owed. We have done this under European threat, and we have watched as those who we elected to represent us facilitate ONLY the above. THAT IS NOT REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNING. Opposition in Dail Eireann is a fallacy. Clever words and rhetoric from the likes of Micheal Martin, Gerry Adams and certain Independents is only clogging up the air with bullshit. We need MORE from our so-called Opposition. It is time to take our demands to THEM! Demand proper opposition. It is not working in the Dail, so it is time we demanded that they lead us, the people they CLAIM to represent, in mass protest. ** WHAT PARTY OR INDEPENDENT CAN STAND OVER WHAT IS BEING INFLICTED ON THE BLAMELESS IRISH PEOPLE IN THE NAME OF A PRIVATE DEBT? WHAT POLITICIAN CAN CLAIM THAT THE REMOVAL OF SUPPORT SERVICES FROM THE DISABLED AND THE SICK IS PREFERABLE TO TELLING EUROPE AND ITS CORPORATE ENTITIES TO GO TO HELL? ** Apparently ALL of them can, and that is why we must force the hands of those who claim to oppose this. Contact your opposition TDs NOW, and demand opposition in the form of protest. You pay them, so do not be afraid of them! SF was not behind the door about marches and protests for their Northern Ireland electorate, so why should they expect to take a wage from us for doing feck-all? Same goes for the rest of the soft-arsed opposition. * If you want your marches and rallies, then get THEM to organise them. They have the media coverage and the machine to mobilise, so make them do it! To hell with the Unions! * Opposition Parties and TDs are paid to oppose, so make them do it! Go to the SF, FF, GP and Independent TDs FB Pages (so-called opposition) NOW, and make your demands. Get on the phone to them. Email them, Send post to them. Meet with them. Demand! You have a right! You are paying them!
