A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF......... Let me straight away once again continue to CONGRATULATE Dr. John Kayode Fayemi (JKF) for short that he has been favoured highly by the GRACE of God. The way things just are in Ekiti showed that he has no opponent contesting against him in this June 21 election. I once preached a sermon to MOB titled BUILDING BRIDGES AND THINKING DEEP..... The summary of that sermon then was to make MOB see reason that it would not be in the best interest of his POLITICAL CAREER to dump for now the party and GROUP of people through/with whom he became SIGNIFICANT IN POLITICS. Most especially, as at the time they form the so called Ekiti Rescue Mission Group that fought so to say the AYOKA and electoral wars that finally brought in the administration of JKF. In that write up, I made reference to the fact that if he finally dumped this group, many will see him as a JUDAS for betraying the course of the mission of rescuing Ekiti people from poverty brought upon it by previous political parties and so expectation from ordinary minds like myself is for MOB to put on the table the cards of what better things Fayemi should and can still do to lift us out of that poverty. Anyway, events seems to have gone beyond point of no return for now even though anything is possible within the NIGERIAN POLITICAL SETTINGS ! My fear for MOB is how he alone out of the original NINE (9) legislators from Ekiti and all before of the same party and of which for that time he was the house-leader caucus would now have to wrestle INFLUENCE & SUPPORT against the remaining EIGHT (8). And I think they say democracy is a game of numbers. In my usual REALISTIC manner, I want to believe these other legistors like himself would probably have one misgivings or disagreements with Fayemi personality or his administration one way or the other but have decided to stay put maybe for the interest of that which binds them together - THE PARTY !!! Anyway MOB, my sermon to you is belated so I wish you good luck! Now as for PDP, a party one of them once defined and described as People Deceiving People or Papa Deceiving Picking or maybe now Picking Deceiving Papa is a Party me I see and could personally described in a general sense but particularly in Ekiti as A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF..... and as the Holy Book puts it, how can they stand? I was shocked but not surprised yesterday when I was hearing it in the news that some youths gathered at their party Secretariat protesting against a Democratic Act of electing their flag-bearer by casting votes for that Act ! Yes I said I was shocked because I was not expecting anybody to be protesting at this stage of time to elections whiting any party but not surprised because PDP has ALWAYS remained a controversial and a rancorous party. Yes I submit that with this divided house, it will be IMPOSSIBLE for it to stand now, during and through the election period and also possibly even after the elections. With this submission, I dare SURELY SAY JKF HAS NO OPPONENTS IN THIS JUNE 21 ELECTIONS. SO ONCE AGAIN, AS I STARTED THIS CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU DR. JOHN KAYODE FAYEMI.
