*******A Husband Duties towards his Wife******* •..............Don’t Abuse your rights The Holy Qur’an says: “The women have almost the same rights over men as men have certain rights over the women in kindness.” •..............Be good maintainers “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah SubHanuhu wa Taala has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means.” [4:34] •..............Be among the best Beloved Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam has said: “Best among you are those who behave well with their women.” •..............Learn to appreciate her good Beloved Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam is reported to have said: “No believing man should have enmity and hatred against a believing woman. If he dislikes certain habits of that woman, there would certainly be some virtues in her too.” Woman must be having both good and bad habits. Man should not always point out her bad habits only. He should also appreciate her good habits. •..............Take care of her during her pregnancy and breastfeeding. If the wife falls sick, the husband should dedicatedly look after her. He should take extra pain in her nursing, feeding, etc. This little service will win over the heart of the wife and she will be very grateful to the husband. Women goes through monthly cramps, or the rigors of pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding. If nothing more, husband should increase their respect for women in general. •..............Help her out in the household work Occasionally washing the dishes, vacuuming the carpets, making your own breakfast or tea (especially if your wife is asleep or not well), or cooking a simple meal will raise your status in your wifes eyes and increase love for you in her heart. •..............Praise her small gestures or good traits openly, especially before your family It takes only three small words to give your wife a compliment, and it doesnt have to be every day, but it will have an enormous impact on your marital relationship. Those three words could be This tastes delicious, or You look good •..............Respect her family: Never unnecessarily degrade or demean any of her relatives, by pointing out their faults or making fun of them. If someone from her family is being unreasonable, by interfering in your matters or intimidating her against you, you can intervene to stop this action. However, always be polite and respectful to them. •.............. Maintain her privacy from your family Hadith implies how careful a Muslim husband should be about his relatives entering upon his wife, especially in her private space (such as her bedroom).
