A LEAP OF FAITH A father wanted to teach his son about faith. He placed him on the table, backed up a few feet and told the little fellow to jump. The son shook his head, Im afraid. Jump and Ill catch you the father said Trust me The child was ready to jump but looked down and cried, Im afraid Didnt I tell you I would catch you? the father said, would papa trick you? The boy shook his head. He was having a hard time believing his father, so the father encouraged him , look me straight in the eye and jump. I will catch you. The little fellow got ready a third time but froze again. Im afraid The promise of the father was not enough. The boy was hesitant to do what he had never done, so the father asked . Have I ever hurt you? No Will you obey me? yes Jump! the father held out his arms The boys finally leaped into his fathers arms. The father and son both laughed and hugged. This small child had learned the lesson of faith. Immediately, he said, Let me jump again! His father put him on the table and he jumped into his fathers arms many more times. The father stepped further back and the boy still jumped. He had learned to trust his father. .... Those who have learned to trust in God have put their seal upon the truthfulness of God. Unbelief says, I cant, while faith says, I will! #WordsOfFaith
