... A LETTER FROM STEVEN JABLO... Why I accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer of Medical Cannabis I have had a number of friends, former colleagues and general inquires as to why I would become COO of a Medical Marijuana startup company, and I think it important to try to answer their questions. There are three primary reasons for my joining Medical Cannabis, and I will list my answers with the least important reason first and by far, the most important last. 1. Startups are intriguing, challenging and if successful, an opportunity to receive significant rewards for your efforts, I love putting teams together and building successful organizations. 2. I have known Tony Uccello for around 6 years and have found him to be one of the brightest and most entrepreneurial people I have ever known. I think we balance each other, as his mercurial personality coupled with my experience and steady as we go approach bring out each of our best skills. More importantly, Tony is a person of High values and integrity in which I strongly believe and share, 3 My own personal life journey has brought me to the fervent belief in the goodness and importance that medical marijuana means to the well being and treatment for hundreds of thousands men women and children afflicted by a wide variety of diseases. Nine years ago, I was diagnosed with metastatic rectal cancer, and I am a survivor of many bouts of radiation and chemo, being in chemo again as we speak. I have never had the benefit of medical marijuana, as Illinois and Florida, the two states where I have lived have not legalized the product. My closest encounter was during an 87 day stay at Sarasota Memorial when I was given an extract to help improve my appetite. My whole career has been working for and/or serving corporate America, and I want to ensure that Medical Cannabis sets standards of integrity and professionalism in a fledgling industry that can be influenced by black markets and unprofessionalism. The potential for good that Medical Cannabis can bring to Colorado and the world is not just a job; but a passion for me. -Steve
