A Love Initiative - Day 51 Attenergy Chrysalis: transformation... from caterpillar to butterfly. Your marriage, your family, your home is the chrysalis from which your child emerges transformed, knowing all he or she needs to know to succeed. This may be a really liberal analogy but I know you get it - you’re used to me by now. LOL! Teach your kids to play chess. Teach your kids to sweep, mop, vacuum, wash dishes and do laundry - wash, dry, fold, iron if necessary and put it all away. Teach your kids how to save money and invest - it may not be easy at first but it’s not rocket science. Teach your kids to cook, clean-up and take out the trash. Teach them to appreciate good music - all kinds. Your child may not play an instrument and odds are they are not 6’9” but it’s okay - teach them that they are special in their own way - then help them through the discovery process. They may very well not play tennis like Venus and Serena or golf like Tiger but it’s okay. Teach them that they have just as much potential - then help them discover it. Teach your child to play chess. See; right now it’s not all about you... they need you - good luck getting them to admit it - but it’s true. Funny thing is; while you’re loving them with so much valuable information and instruction you too are transformed - amazing! Lastly; teach your kids to pray. If it sounds corny or silly to them, teach them anyway. Bribe them if you have to. They always want something from you so withhold it until they comply. Tell them to pray for it! LOL! :-) If it sounds corny to you, do it anyway - you may need them to pray for your butt one day. LOL! That’s is for now! Oh, and if your children are fortunate enough to know all these things - because of your phenomenal parenting of course - help someone else’s kids. You’re awesome! LOL! :-) M BTW… Attenergy is the application of sustained attention or focus and energy to a particular physical or mental task - like chess or ironing. :-)
