“A Man In Whom The Spirit Of God Is?” Gen 41:33 Now - TopicsExpress

“A Man In Whom The Spirit Of God Is?” Gen 41:33 Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years. 35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36 And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine. 37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. 38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? 39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. 41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. When God’s man seeks God for the people of the land, He will show that person what He is about to do. Then the Lord will reveal it to the people through that man. Joseph sought the Lord for the plan of Egypt for this time and it was Joseph that was brought to the forefront of the issue. God uses his men that will acknowledge Him and then seek after Him. Pharaoh and his servants were very impressed with the purpose and plan that Joseph had laid out to them. However, it was the knowing where this purpose and plan had come from that was significant. Joseph had made it very clear that God was the revealer of dreams to Pharaoh and these servants so it would be God that they had seen rather than Joseph. It was God that not only showed Pharaoh’s dream but also the plan He had to help the nation survive the seven years of famine. As God’s children we know that He has a purpose and plan for our lives. When we seek the Lord as Joseph did and put Him first in our lives, we get in on that purpose and plan. Of course when we don’t seek Him first, we miss out but do get second or third best. I don’t know about you but I want all of what God has for me in this life and the one to come. It is the Spirit of God that will reveal to us the purpose and plan of God for our lives. He reveals His secrets to those that seek Him beyond all other things of the earth or selfish ambitions. Joseph got in on the best because he was willing to suffer through the process of sanctification. This purifying of the flesh and the mind gives God free access to our lives because we learn to put Him first in our everyday lives. Where is the Lord working in your life today? Please don’t run from it because there are greater blessings down the road ahead. Being used of God is far greater than anything we could ever do in this life. A dad raising children can show them that putting God first will see the results if the child will understand how God is using the father in their lives. A boss will see who has control of the spiritual man who works hard but puts God first in their lives. A mother that puts God first will reveal to their precious child that God will work on their behalf. Suffering through the tough times as Joseph did will not be easy but Joseph understood that it was God that was to bring him to this place. Trust God today to bring you to the place where He wants you not where you want to be. It took a long thirteen years of suffering and serving for Joseph as God was crushing, cleansing and now controlling him for deliverance of a people. Stay in the word of God and leave all the results up to Him.
