A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph “Buddy” Coutee, Sr. will be 10 am Saturday June 22, 2013 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Campti with Rev. Ryan Humphries serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at Campti Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 pm on Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Coutee, 89 years of age, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 in Campti, LA. He was born April 5, 1924 to Lawerence and Louvenia (Howard) Coutee in Campti, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Lottie (Beavers) Coutee; daughters, Rebecca Babers, Diane Morrison, Connie Wallace, and Wanda Gilbert; sons, William Coutee and Joseph Coutee, Jr.; sisters, Mae Collins, Maggie Bush, Julia Telsee, Mary Jo Vaughn; a brother, Lawerence Coutee, J. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
