A Missing Person used to be when a person was inexplicably not seen for 24 hours or more. However, now a Missing Person means a person has inexplicably not texted or emailed in 24 hours or more. BTW, I wonder how many people did unplug this year. Or better yet, how man people tried to unplug, but had internet withdraw prior to the full 24 hours. As it turns out, Munguia was fine -- shed just turned off her phone for a while -- but the expectation of constant, instant communication was so normal in her social circles that taking a break was a shock to her friends.
