A Modest Proposal In light of several posts and comments from my Fellow Wizards here and on other pages, I have this day sent the following. I ask that all those concerned copy this letter and endorse it with your signature. The Hon. John Boehner Dear Sir, I am certain that you have recognized the overwhelmingly harmful effect that Bad Christmas Music has on our culture. Moreover, the forced ubiquitous dissemination of this music earlier and earlier each year effectively dilutes any good that appropirate Seasonal Music may have on the body politic. In light of the overwhelming mandate that you have received in the November Election (to which I contributed), I am taking the unusual step of requesting that Congress pass legislation to institute the following: 1.No radio station television station or internet facility is permitted to broadcast any music related to the Christmas/Advent Season before midnight of December 15th. 2. All music broadcasts by any such facility after that date shall be reviewed by a committee selected from members of the “Im Fed Up with Bad Church Music” Facebook Page who shall establish play lists which are to be considered binding on all broadcasters. 3. The Federal Communication Commission shall enact regulations in furtherance of the above and civil penalties for violations including but not limited to the seizure of all offending Cds, Lps, 45s, 78s, hard drives or any other media containing the offensive material. I urge you and members of both Houses to consider expeditious passage of the above legislation. Securing the future of Western Culture demands that we take action now. Respectfully yours, Martin Knoblauch
