A NEW ARRIVAL: This is Murphy. He has been on our (long!) waiting list for quite a while and luckily we are now in a position to help him, having recently rehomed 11 cats/kittens, 2 guinea pigs, several mice and 3 giant rabbits! Just in time as it is getting very cold out. He is an extremely friendly little boy who loves to be cuddled and stroked. He is small in size and also a little underweight, but we will soon sort that out! Murphy has been living and sleeping in a garden in Leeds since he was abandoned as a kitten. The house owner has been feeding him every day but was unable to let him come in the house. He has come from the same place as Annie (who we took in as a heavily pregnant stray two months ago). We think they may be related, though Murphy is younger than her at around 7-8 months of age. Maybe they have the same mum and are from different litters. The feeder is trying to find out if there are any unneutered cats in the area so we can try to tackle the root of the problem. Two other skinny stray cats also visit this lady for food and she is trying to get hold of them so we can take them in as well but they visit much less frequently. Fingers crossed we get them soon as one is thought to be pregnant. Murphy is unneutered and unchipped of course! He was collected by a new driving volunteer (thank you Deb!) today and taken to Baildon Vets. He is booked in tomorrow for neutering and microchipping, fleaing, worming and a full health check. He will also be fully vaccinated as soon as possible. We will be looking for a nice new home for Murphy where he can finally know the love and warmth of his own home after his unfortunate start to life. Murphy has a lot of love to give and cant wait to meet his very own family! We would LOVE to get him rehomed quickly so he can enjoy his first Christmas with his new family, and so we are able to help more stray cats living outdoors at the moment. We hate to think of them all out in the cold at this time of year :( If you are interested in adopting this beautiful young man, please email [email protected] or drop us an inbox message. Please share!
