~A NOTE FROM WHOLESOY~ June 20, 2013 TO: Our Valued Retailers and Consumers RE: Production Change Update (Reality Check!) Well, we are learning the hard way that you can’t fast track the move to a new production facility. A move like this is a complicated endeavor and typically takes six months or more to complete. In our effort to get product on the market as quickly as possible, we tried to rush the new facility into full production. The results have been extremely disappointing for us and we know for all of you, as well. We have run into multiple start-up issues which means only a small amount of product has been made available up to this point. Rather than continue to trickle product onto the market, we are going to take a few weeks to focus on setting up the new facility to run adequate quantities of yogurt on a weekly basis. This will allow the plant to make necessary upgrades such as larger fermentation tanks and fine tune all the systems and procedures. We know that it is frustrating for our loyal customers to hear that store shelves will be empty for a while longer. But, after taking a hard, honest look we now understand that in the long run this will be the best thing for our company and ultimately our customers. We feel it is important, after so many unfulfilled promises over these last several weeks, to acknowledge that we were overly optimistic with our timeline. We are aiming for late July or early August to resume full production. This may seem like a terribly long wait, but we need to do what is necessary to get it right this time. Please know that our small, independently owned company is 150% dedicated to making the same delicious soy yogurts you have come to love from WholeSoy & Co.
