A NOTE Many people in the Scriptures testified to Us of the deliverance power of Jesus Christ . The man with the unclean spirit in Capernaums Synagogue , The Wild man from the tombs of Gadara , and Mary Magdalenes Deliverance from Seven Devils ( see Luke 8:2 ) And many others experience the freedom that comes only through Christ . The powers of darkness are no match for the one who declared I am Light . Many of these delivered souls Became devoted followers of the Lord . They had witnessed firsthand the grip of Evil came to know the joy of the Liberty that is found in Jesus . The forces of evil are still active in fighting against the Church , But We have Assurance of spiritual victory over them . The same authority that subdued them in the New Testament is invested in spirit filled believers today .
