A National Peer Review team from Healthy Families America recently reviewed our program. They talked to staff, advisory council members and families. We were told that families feel that we are not only supportive, but we focus on the things that are important to THEM. Staff were commended for consistently going above and beyond. One example was a family that said our staff met the mom at a grocery store to help her problem-solve toddler tantrums in public. We were told that our policies of focusing on postpartum depression and infant mental health is "ahead of the game." There are new national standards which cover those topics, but we have been focusing on these areas since 2010. No surprise, our Healthy Families program & team received an outstanding commendation from the peer review team. CONGRATULATIONS HF STAFF!!!!
