A New Music Season around and a new experiment this time as well. Along with a few friends of mine this time we are looking to broadcast LIVE carnatic music on Global Public Radio Networks, Starting the 1st of December for a period of 15 days. We began our trial today. So Far So Good! But lots to improve i guess! I dont want to confuse folks with specifics of frequency of broadcast(88.1-91.9 MHz FM if you are in the US) and angle of incidence of your receiver. So for all practical purpose please follow the Facebook page https://facebook/themusicseason and you will get a live link for the Internet radio version everyday. However there are a few Radio Stations that I have to mention for the unbelievable support extended to us by giving us free airtime.hr,Hrvatska radiotelevizija, HRT,Radiodiffusion and of course Public radio service for encouraging Independent Producers and start ups like us. It is extremely simple to become a part of a public radio network and obviously the reach and the network coverage these give is incomparable to any other form of media. It is also extremely cheap and the advantage during the evening concerts is that this is day time in the US typically driving time which music marketeers consider as high discovery touch points. Obviously,I believe that there would be a day when this art form is so global that it would have been pretty unfathomable as to how or why we did not archive many of the greats that this land produced. We intend to do live radio broadcasts for FREE,if you know of anyone (artists) willing to experiment or if you are keen to listen to some ones music this season please do ping us we will try our best.I would guess in terms of user preference that there would be more of a bias towards instrumental music over vocal (unfortunately when I entered language of composition as Telugu on the producer dashboard the bot got completely psyched! and we have been asked time to comeback on this). Note all broadcast on Public Radios are for non commercial consideration (this way I think you automatically rule out a few folks who cant be broadcast). There is no charge to hear, broadcast or perform. Due to limited human resource we are on a first cum first serve basis. Please do give us word of mouth.
