A Northumbria University student is going to be creating a computer game for people with disabilities, focusing mainly on conditions that affect motor functions such as Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy for her final year project. The money that is raised will go towards equipment needed for playtesting - so that she can see what kind of problems are encountered during gameplay and find a solution. These conditions affect reaction speeds and control access so other players without these disabilities can have an unfair advantage, especially with games like Call of Duty and fast paced FPS games. If there is anybody who lives locally and would like to get involved in playtesting, she will travel to meet them. Also, equipment will be given away to people after her development is complete.
