A Note from Greg Fortier, Jobs for Maines Graduates Specialist at MCI: Yesterday, 7 JMG (Jobs for Maines Graduates) students from MCI participated in the 19th Career Development Conference at the Augusta Civic Center. The day was filled with career oriented activities and competitions, guest speakers and awards. Competitions ranged from creation of a career booth and presenting the booths theme to judges, to public speaking, mock interviews, philanthropic presentations, decision making, imagination station and more. MCI students won 1st place in the Imagination Station, having competed with 50 other teams (over 500 students)! In this competition, students were given a scenario to discuss, create a poster advertisement based on the scenario and then present to a panel of judges. Judges commented that MCIs presentation blew them away. There were MANY comments about our students professionalism and their outstanding appearance. They did themselves and MCI very proud.
