A PARALLELED ANOINTING Hebrews 1:7 Regarding angels he says, the messengers are winds, the servants are tongues of fire. Acts 2:2-4 When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale force—no one could tell where it came from. It filled the whole building. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them. See the parallels? I read this in The Message and KJV and both revealed the same parallels. An anointing with the wind of messengers and fire of servants/ministers. God has shown me that the same anointing of His power that is shared with His angels in the heavenly realm is provided to us when we receive it here on earth. When we share that same power, that is what helps us to align the supernatural that enforces what we bind and loose on earth also in heaven. We were given this earthly creation to rule and the heavens are overseen by angels. Together, we have the power and authority to kick the devil to the curb! ALL of us that accept His anointing receive the power to be both servants/ministers and messengers. If you think about it, we would need God’s power to be a messenger to people here on earth (and to speak His power and authority to bind and loose) in order to fulfill our servant hood/ministering. A friend shared with me recently some thoughts she had on this as well. As messengers and ministers of the Word, we are anointed with the wind and fire of the Holy Spirit! The wind could represent the constant movement of the Spirit and how our messages from Him will move people to action, and also the moving breath of God as he speaks from His own mouth through us His servants! Then we are anointed with fire because it represents the purifying nature of our messages from the Word. Sometimes what God gives us to speak may not be popular or even feel good to the hearers, but it will spark a heart change. Our message of fire also gives warmth, light and direction (pillar of fire) and it represents God’s holiness and the holiness of his message (burning bush). Wildfire is virtually unstoppable and wind fuels it! In fact, when you combine the two, it spreads at an incredibly rapid rate, consuming almost everything in its path. In fact, wildfire burns up debris, traveling with great wind and jumping and moving. Some areas are spared while others are burned to the ground. After a wildfire, with rain and sunshine, new growth begins. We go through the fire of refinement, cleansed and purified, but not burned. Fire burns up the old and brings out the new – God’s character revealed! Matthew 3:11-12 I’m baptizing you here in the river, turning your old life in for a kingdom life. The real action comes next: The main character in this drama—compared to him I’m a mere stagehand—will ignite the kingdom life within you, a fire within you, the Holy Spirit within you, changing you from the inside out. He’s going to clean house—make a clean sweep of your lives. He’ll place everything true in its proper place before God; everything false he’ll put out with the trash to be burned. PARALLELED EQUIVALENT POWER, ALIGNED WITH THE SAME MISSION ON EARTH AND IN HEAVEN, WITH THAT POWER AND FUEL IS. . . WELL, UNSTOPPABLE!!! ~ Emily DeBoer
