A PETITION FOR SANDY We citizens of Gemmano (Rn) Italy, are seriously worried about the security of our living in our own houses! -THE ITALIAN LAW PROTECTS DOMESTIC CATS AND FORBIDS THEIR KILL - A cat called Sandy, has been recently shot dead with a dumdum bullet (this kind of shell is not allowed by the Italian law as regards the hunting control campaign of vermins, i.e. foxes) whilst the pet was walking in the garden of its owner in the centre of the village,infringing the provisions of law imposing a safety gunfire-range at a specific distance from the urban areas The shooter representing therefore a real threat to our community for his inconsiderate and criminal shooting ‘’at random’’ inside the built-up areas, by night. As protective and precautionary measures for all the citizens, we ask to know whether some legal action, against the shooter has being taken ; specifically if the weapon ( a gun) has been confiscated and consequently if the hunting licence of the forester (ranger) belonging to a corps of authorized and appointed volounteers has been withdrawn by the competent Authorities. ANYONE LIABLE FOR RISKY AND UNSAFE BEHAVIOUR INSIDE A COMMUNITY MUST BE PUNISHED BY THE LAW,SEVERELY.
