A PRIMER ON THE PINE CONE MOVEMENT, INC. (February 8, 2013 Incorporated with the Securities and Exchange Commission) Vision – Baguio, a renewed and ever renewing city in terms of matter and spirit whose concerned and committed citizens uphold life-giving and sustainable practices. (Spiritual, Emotional, Efficient, Political, Social, Educational, Environmental). Mission – The Pine Cone Movement, Inc. (PCMI) will work towards a commitment in realizing this vision primarily through protecting and preserving the environment, in gratitude to its past heritage and sustainable future, by raising funds, accpeting donations, by cooperating with national and local government agencies and other activities that will promote it, conducting information drives and organizing forums to discuss issues. The Pine Cone Movement will be a sober and credible discussion group of Baguio-based citizens and other supporters who will come from the whole spectrum of society. It will be a coalition of existing organizations as well as individuals that will speak in unity with one voice to local and national government, the legislature, fellow citizens to promote a healthy and productive environment in Baguio that will go beyond nature to governance and future directions. The Pine Cone Movement will strive to be a friendly and focused discussion group that will carefully study facts before taking a stand. It will strive to be positive and cooperative in it’s search for workable solutions to Baguios problems and needs. It means to gather a critical mass of thinkers who will speak firmly but not with hostility on issues. It is prepared to listen and to work.
