A PRO RUGGERS ASSESSMENT OF THE SEM-FINAL GAME BETWEEN FIJI AND ENGLAND. They just executed their game plan really well and starved us of possession which made it hard to attack after giving so much on defence. Our boys looked tired and maybe failed to adapt to the way England were defending. I thought we needed to run straight and take more contact in that game as they had a good d line but were passive and not pushing up hard so our throwing the ball around wasnt really challenging them or taking any players out of the defensive line. Huge difference when we attacked them with straight running and scored our try. The boys have given us a great 2 weeks of rugby and last weeks other finalist didnt make cup semis. Remember our boys are not paid full time but expected to train and perform better than teams whose players are full time employees. I often wonder how many of us would do a job that requires as much but wouldnt pay you a proper salary. #HSBCHK7S #2014
