A Palestinian man was shot and killed Tuesday by Israel Defense Forces gunfire in the Al-Arroub area between Bethlehem and Hebron. According to the IDF, troops came under threat during clashes in the area and decided to open fire. In another incident Tuesday, a Palestinian sustained serious wounds from IDF gunfire in the South Hebron Hills area. The IDF said that some 150 Palestinians gathered at Khursa junction and threw stones and firebombs at traffic. Due to the increasing number of terrorist incidents in the past month, the IDF has decided to station more troops in Judea/Samaria. The plan is to add two battalions of reinforcements; a third battalion may also be added later.
