A Personal Message to fans of my Bio label through the years... Vince Watson will release his Bio Music labels last release on May 29th (12) and Beatport on June 9th. Presenting Eon. It reads like one of the best Techno festivals of the year…but its not. Not many record labels in the world can claim a roster of artists that include Ben Sims, Joris Voorn, Octave One, Deetron, Alexander Kowalski, Steve Rachmad, Funk D’Void, Rolando, Psycatron, Paul Woolford, Joel Mull, Mark Broom, Redshape, 65d Mavericks, Paul Mac, Ian O’Donovan, Jerome, Misstress Barbara and Colin McNeil, but Vince Watson’s Bio Music has been able to gather this talent over the last 15 years. 15 years is quite a long time…its a lot of records, a lot of remixes, a lot of fun and a lot of very emotional moments. In that time Vince Watson & Bio have given the techno world some truly great tracks like ‘Aurelon’, ‘A Very Different World’ and ’Intuition’, to name but a few. The label has featured on just about every compilation series created and has had major supporters through the years from all corners of the music spectrum, from Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier to Danny Howells and John Digweed. Everything great must come to an end at some point. Change is good in life, music evolution is good in life too, but it is not change without foundation. Its been a fun, crazy and emotional journey….but If your going to leave the party, this is a seriously good way to do it. So today we present to you the final Bio single, The EON Ep. ‘EON’ is the monster track that Vince has been testing in his livesets for over a year, in fact its been tested in different styles and bpms for longer than that to really fine tune it into the killer track it is now. It describes the last 15 years of Bio perfectly, with its organic synth arrangements on top of powerful drums. Its the perfect track to bow out with, and were very proud of this. ‘ELUSIA’ is a little more tracky, giving a more DJ based approach in its structure, again representing the label’s previous material perfectly as its acid lines once in and out on top of punching percussion. 2 great tracks to end an era with a big bang and allow the dawn of the next chapter to start its mission next year. The label has served its purpose very well, but after a final compilation release at the end of 2014, Bio will make way for a new label concept in 2015 which will serve the future better and be more relevant for the next 15 years and beyond. For now, Vince and the Bio team would like to thank every single one of you who supported the label since its beginning, every one of you who charted, played, bought and helped make the label what it has been since 1999. So as ‘EON’ blasts its powerful beats out loud, we say farewell with the final countdown… 1 Album, 13 Remixes, 15 years, 28 singles, 10’s of thousands of records sold and an uncountable amount of plays around the world all come down to one thing… One Love. Thank You X. Bio Music 1999-2014
