A Philadelphia hospital was the scene of a shootout yesterday, and it turns out the gunman was eventually subdued by a doctor who had a gun of his own. Dr. Lee Silverman, who was being held hostage, reportedly used a handgun he was carrying in his pocket to return fire. According to an attorney, Silverman routinely carried a gun to his workplace, despite the hospitals strict policy against it.
