A RAINY TUESDAY MORNING IN CABACUNGAN It has been raining non stop here in Cabacungan since yesterday morning as the storm signal for the island of Negros has been raised last night to Number Two, effectively ceasing all sea travel and making commuting very difficult especially so because of the holiday season. I am staying here at the IRC Cabacungan compound for the New Year, a first for me. I am completely at home here and consider the people my family much like Purok Bangkal where it has also been raining since yesterday. I have just been updated by the situation there in Purok Bangkal and it is good to know that my IRC family are safe and sound although the road leading to Purok Bangkal has turned into a river of mud and mire making it nearly impassable. We have prayed for all our IRC communities that are affected by this typhoon as we entrust all to our good God. Although it is a rainy Tuesday morning, we can rejoice because we know that God is in control of our lives, lives that we live according to His will for us. The IRC vision of transforming communities continues to unfold even through the storms of life only by the grace of God...
