A RANT ON THE LIMITATION OF STORY: We try to create an entire story in attempts to predict an outcome to try to avoid being disappointed or hurt... and the irony is, the thing that leaves us *most* open to disappointment is the story itself. Wait, it gets better... Our stories arent real - theyre simply made up chunks of data that we accumulated from having the experiences we had, based on the meanings we made about those experiences. Stay with me... What most people do is, based on those stories, they project *that* data forward into the future to try to control an outcome into place to avoid feeling an unconscious pain they dont want to feel. Here it comes... When we can break the habit of being triggered into a story, and we #FullyEngage our lives with total presence, the story dissolves and we get to be more free. Hmmm... The question that one may want to ask from this point is - whats more valuable, being free, or the addiction to the story? It now becomes a choice. Dont get me wrong, I love stories, but stories of artistry and victory. If we are going to use story, we can always choose to inhale and breathe out the stories that inspire us to greatness and ignite a fire for freedom within us. RANT, End.
