A READING from: In The Company of The Holy Mother Page 17 After Thakurs passing, Sarada was about to take off her ornaments and put on the white garment of a Hindu widow, Sri Ramakrishna appeared before her, took hold of her hands, and said, Why ae you behaving like a widow? Am I dead? I have just moved from one room to another. This vision was several times repeated later, giving her courage and peace in moments of despair and anguish. From now on, it will be appropriate to refer to Sarada Devi as Holy Mother, the name by which she is now cherished by her disciples and also by the devotees of Sri Ramakrishna. A fortnight after the Masters passing away, Holy Mother set out on a pilgrimage in company with several disciples of the Master in order to get relief from her sorrow, and she visited, among other places, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Hardwar, and Allahabad. Several times she had visions of the Master which considerably assuaged her grief. At Vrindaban she moved about like a happy girl, going from one temple to another. Here the Master asked her to give a formal initiation to Swami Yogananda, who thus became her first disciple. In the temple of RAdhAramana she fervently prayed that she might never see other peoples blemishes. This prayer was literally fulfilled.
