A Real Fan This past week Zambia mourned the passing of legendary football commentator Dennis Liwewe, and today 28th April marks 21 Years From When our Beloved National Soccer Team Died (May their souls rest in Peace) Tragically off the Coast of Gabon, and still Time hasn’t been able to really wipe off our sorrow. It all just seems like yesterday. But there is always room to thank God, Zambia celebrates the 90th Birthday of an independence hero, our very first republican president. A living legend, Ba Tata, Ba Kaunda. Happy 90th birthday. All have one thing in common...The game of Football. Canon Dennis Liwewe was “a Real Fan”, Dr. Kaunda even Had a whole Team named KK11 “a real Fan”. I many ways Christians are or must be real funs. “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.”Psalm 47:1(KJV) 1. Real Fans Endure the Weather. I have seen Fans brave the rain to watch the most loved sport. They do what it takes come rain come sunshine to be in the stadium. Listen to Habakkuk…A real Fan 3:17-18(NIV) “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” In other words no matter what, down or up, bad or good I will praise the Lord. 2. Real fans remember the statistics Ask any Die-hard fan of any team. they will say my team has won the cup so many times, my team as done this and that .I mean they will give the history of the team like they were present. LOL. Awe sure! Listen are you a Real fan of Team Jesus? Real Fans are Vocal I don’t know about your nice hood, but in mine when Zambia has scored you can hear a resounding “uweleeeeeee” and followed by a song “iye …Chipolopolo… iye”. The night when Zambia won the African Cup. Shouting didn’t stop. The following day felt like a Public holiday. Fans run out in their birth suits. Child of God Vocalize your Faith.
