A Reflection from Fr. Saba: HOW DO YOU THINK? Do you think earthly? Do you think heavenly? Your opinion and perception would differ depending on how you think. As humans, we are called to do what is heavenly. We are earthly, but asked to think heavenly. We are earthly, but instructed to think as our Father who is in heaven. This is the prayer of the Lord, when He prayed: Thy Will be done, on earth as it is heaven. Earth is to resemble heaven. It hasnt done so from the beginning due to our choice(s). We chose earthly. We did not choose what our Father wanted. We wanted to do our will. Not His will. We question His will because we think earthly to begin with. We think we know what is best for us. If we think and act earthly, then we will never know the heavenly. If God were to ask mankind a question, he would ask: Why do you question My will? It is your will that needs questioning. Your choices. I, God, have power over everything except your will. Perhaps, heavenly just means to resemble Him in everything we do. Let us do so, so others can say, they belong to God. They are His children. Then those people may be lead to God as well. Before Christ taught us how to resemble our Father, we were starving and we didnt know it. Let earth and everything in it resemble heaven, then not only our thoughts will be heavenly, but everything, visible and invisible, the way He intended it. - Fr. Saba
