A SHORT STORY: I am amazed how our country treat those breaking the law. The poor are in prisons, the rich walks free. Then we boast how we have the best form of justice on earth. Now to get personnel. Several years ago my paralyzed son was sitting in his car at the bottom of town hill in Greenville. He came home that night and said Dad I was cited for not having proof of insurance. He was using hand controls on his car, he couldnt lean over to the glove compartment to find the insurance papers. The policeman who cited Chris knew our family, he knew Chris was in an expensive car, HE KNEW. I called the policeman and ask him why he was checking proof of insurance on a parked car. He said 2 people was fighting and he answered the call. I ask him if he cited the ones for fighting, he said no. I ask him how many were parked where Chris was parked, he said about 15 cars. I ask him how many of these 15 he checked for insurance he said one=Chris Richie. Chris had just written a story about how the policemen in Muhlenberg county wasnt doing their job protecting Handi-cap parking spaces. The policeman said he was just enforcing the law, and doing his job. I said really, he said yeah. I said I knew a place near Greenville, that was selling illegal booze, gambling, slot machines, and having a wild party. He said just name the place, I did, there was a long pause, and he got irate and said for me to just forget about the citation, he was tearing it up. I assume I touched a nerve, and all was forgiven. That my friends is our form of justice, money and power rules.
