A SWEET STRIDER SATURDAY! My thanks to the large gathering who came out to Starkey to get some good running and riding in today! What an invigorating group. As always, one of our highlights is to meet new friends. We welcomed 4 new teammates today, Welcome Aboards go out to….. Roger ( a buddy of Keiths) Jessy aka ChrisandJessy McMahan (and I hear she had an awesome running partner). Tanya Strauss Lenhardt # 2 Cindy Thatcher # 2 (Yes Miss Cindy aka Lucinda Durkee that mean you are now officially # 1. Congrats) It was also so good to welcome back Miss Regina Crutcher after a loooong vacation in the Homeland. And I note that Marcia McCormick and Tom Connolly # 2 were especially grateful for her return and an significant improvement in the all important the Coffee Service Dept. Nice to see Dan # 2 aka DanandDenise Thomas back for more even if he was a bit late. Bike Queens Michelle Guercio-Winter and the always provocative Miss Trish aka Patricia Daulton put away nearly 2 hours on the bike, the Old Guard Bob Tiller # 1, Keith, Jorge Ochoa, Gregory M Shay # 3 and Dixie put it in high gear and had solid efforts. Jammin Jammie Adams and Victoria Taylor McGuire were seen doing odd pushups (yes of course we have photo proof), our Chicago Bound Striders, little Daffodil Hallenbeck, Chrissy Gardner Bell, Viktoria Khutorska Kuhn and oh yeah, Tom had runs ranging from 10-18, nice work you 4! Our young speed queens, Miss Liz Goffinet Decot and Sarah McAuliffe were untouchable and running so smooth it was like running on air. Helen Lavoie with her enormous talent run like it was no effort, Miss Christina Marie put in a casual ho hum 13 and it was great to see little Jessica Spivey back in action! Off the charts talent Miss Claudia McCoy and Beka aka Rebeka Napiello put in a nifty 8. and lastly we are pretty sure Iron-Man-to-be Jean Gendebien is still out there somewhere north of Ocala on his bike. What dedication! The Striders thank Dan for his water donation (yes, believe it or not we are very low in our water inventory). To Stephanie Morganti for makin gus those delicious brownies and to Regina for that badly needed sliced watermelon. Simply another Sweet Strider Saturday! We will see many of you tonight at Mikes place for more good times! Have a great day everyone.
